How to Get ThereWhilst there is ample parking scattered throughout Stanley Park, it is recommended to travel there by public transport, especially on busy summer weekends when parking spaces are at a premium for "late risers". Waterfront Skytrain station offers the best access to Stanley Park if you want to take in the Seafront of Coal Harbor on the way there. Once you've negotiated the various construction sites near to the Skytrain Station the route is very easy to follow! Alternatively, leaving the Skytrain at Burrard Station takes you to within a block of Georgia Street, down which a multitude of buses head off towards Stanley Park. Be sure to check with the bus driver that the bus you are taking stops near the entrance to the park, as some go straight through. The number #19 bus takes you to the Stanley Park Loop, which is a convenient location from which to explore the majority of the park's main attractions. This can be caught on Pender Street or on Georgia Street (west of Cardero). Western portions of Stanley Park can be accessed from buses that run down Davie Street and Beach Avenue. For more details check out the Translink Website. A free Shuttle Bus operates in Stanley Park from June through September. This does a big circuit of the whole park taking in 15 of the most popular destinations. It's "hop on - hop off" and is a great way to explore the park if you want to minimize your walking.
